Beifang Investigation ,Design & Research CO. LTD (BIDR) is reorganized from former Tianjin Investigation, Design & Research Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower (TIDI). BIDR is a national class A investigation, design and research company and is one of the Top Hundred Investigation & Design Enterprises on comprehensive capacities nationally. BIDR, with its head office located in Tianjin, China, has won good reputations in providing services to various employers both at home and abroad. BIDR was firstly qualified in obtaining the certificate of Quality Management System based on ISO9001 in 1997 and succeeded in keeping the certificates ever since . As approved by the Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Ministry of China, BIDR is qualified in developing the foreign economic and technical cooperation relationship independently. BIDR is available with various qualification certificates concerning 7 specialized fields, i.e. water resources, electric power, architecture, water route navigation, highway, municipal engineering and agriculture and forestry, etc. Ever since its establishment, BIDR has completed more than one hundred projects in investigation and design, including that of about 20 water resources and hydropower projects located at a dozen of foreign countries. Furthermore, BIDR has performed technical exchanges with dozens of countries all over the world and organized and conducted several times of completion acceptance inspection work on behalf of the central government of China upon the foreign aid project in overseas countries.

Investigation	Engineering geology, hydrological geology, geo-technical engineering, foundation and foundation work construction, pile foundation and concrete structure inspection and measurement, etc
Survey	Aerial photographic survey and remote sensing plotting, engineering survey, geotechnical surveying, geographic information system (GIS) project, map compilation and printing, etc.
Engineering planning, design	Engineering planning, design and research on the walks of water resources and hydropower, architecture, agriculture, transportation (by road and by water), municipal engineering (bridge and tunnel, water distribution), etc.; hydrology and water resources investigation and assessment; environmental impact assessment on the construction project; environmental pollution prevention works; design of both the low and medium pressure type pressure vessels; preparation of the water and soil conservation alternative for the development and construction project.
Engineering consultation & project cost consultation	Planning and consultation on such fields as hydraulic works, hydropower, architecture, highway, harbor and river mouth and coastal project, municipal public works, machinery, hydrological geology, engineering geology as well the concurrent service as agriculture (farming irrigation and drainage) and environmental impact assessment, etc.; proposal compilation; feasibility report preparation; project appraisal consultation; tendering consultation and all other businesses related to project cost .
Supervision	Project construction supervision, manufacturing supervision on water resources and hydropower equipment, etc.
Project tendering agency service	Carrying out tendering agency services on investigation, design, construction and supervision for various kinds of civil works, architectural works, supply route pipe ducts and equipment installation works as well as the finishing works, and on procurement of the important equipment (except the imported machinery & electric equipment) and materials related to the construction project.
